Apollo Program Firing Room Control Panels

Used on numerous Apollo missions which included Apollo 11, these control panels make a lot that consists of 20 in total at Sotheby’s auction house.

Decommissioned from the Kennedy Space Centre, these panels formed part of the hardware that launched historic Apollo missions 8, 11 and 17.  Apollo 8 was the first humans to orbit the moon, Apollo 11 the first humans to land on the moon and finally Apollo 17 the last humans to land on the moon in 1972.

The panels featured here are an S-IVB APS Launch and Monitor panel along with a S-IC Engine deflection display above.

Both panels were manufactured at NASA George C. Marshall Flight Centre in Alabama, United States.
