The Supermarine Spitfire is probably the most iconic aircraft of World War 2, certainly for enthusiasts who specialise in the Royal Air Force of that era.To celebrate and mark the truly excellent feat of engineering that the Spitfire was, IWC Schaffhausen have released a new line in their Pilots collection of watches that is named after the great fighter.  Here we feature the Chronograph available in either stainless steel or with a bronze case as we have selected.  Taking inspiration from the design of the 1948 IWC navigational pilots watch, as produced for the Royal Air Force these beautifully crafted modern time pieces bring together the traditions of fine engineering coupled with the latest calibre movements.  On each watch the back has a wonderful engraving of a Spitfire that further links with the precision engineering and heritage of both that historic aircraft and IWC as a fine watch maker.  Their own passion for aviation cannot be more apparent.
